2006 Haunt Intro
|
A group that has been Haunting together
for 10 years, and in the 4th year of the "Morton Avenue Mega Haunt".
With the magic of the haunt being that it is still only a one day event!
The adventure takes over the property on the 31st and leave before the
sun rises the next day. Enticing over 600 visitors last year (and
regretfully still a zero body count). The ghosts rise again to see if
they can win this year!

History of the Haunt |
 |
It is believed that just over 150 years
ago, when Sharon was one of the most prosperous villages in the
province, a drifter that was down on his luck and wishing for a better
life, found his way into Sharon. Knowing only what he was taught from a
life of roaming, the drifter found himself hiding in the barns and
stealing from the fields for food. On October 31, 1854, while in a field
located where our current garage sits, the drifter was collecting some
food when he was discovered by farmer. The drifter acted in a moment of
hostility and ended up killing the farmer. Not knowing what to do, he
buried the body right where he was and took off into the night. The
drifter never did pay for his crime and never did return to Sharon so he
didn't have to face his crime.

During renovations on the property in 2004
a new area of the property was dug up that had previously not been
disturbed for 150 years. It is now believed that with such a brutal
death of the farmer on the fated 1854 evening, the farmers spirit is
believed to have been in a state of disruption for all these year. Until
the unearthing of the ground, the spirit was trapped an unable to avenge
his horrible death.

It is now believed that on every October
31, the farmer roams the property where he once grew his food and does
his best to repel any visitors to the property. The occupants of the
house that currently sits on his property and the people that were
around when he was unearthed become his tools that day and embody his
spirit. For those that dare try and enter the property on the night of
Halloween must gather their spirit together to try and make it through
the property safely to collect their treat at the end of the journey.
